Invited Artist 2019
We have been following Diana's work for many years. She is a truly creative artist with a unique perspective. Her works are beautiful, intriguing and distinctive. Diana has occasionally exhibited as a guest artist with Arts at Denver, we are thrilled that she has agreed to join Arts at Denver OnLine.

Diana Woods grew up on the back of a horse on a small farm in Lincoln, Nebraska. When she wasn’t riding, she was sketching horses. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting with a minor in art history and equestrian studies in 1980 from William Woods College in Fulton, Missouri. Upon graduation, she ventured west to Montana and in 1984, ended up in Grand Junction, Colorado where she fell in love with the high desert and red rock canyons. The herd of wild horses on the Little Book Cliffs near her home kindled her imagination. She has spent many hours in all seasons observing their habits, which have inspired her to try and capture their wild, untamed beauty on canvas.

Diana was juried into the 2020 & 2021 Coors Western Art Shows.
