Ken Valastro won the American Art Collector "Award of Excellence" prize in the Golden Triangle Museum District Plein Air event. The juried show was on exhibit at the Main Denver Public Library (November 2010). Valastro will exhibit in the 2011 20th Annual Colorado Governor's Invitational Art Show & Sale at the Loveland Museum in Loveland, Colorado (2011)

Born in New York City in 1954, Ken Valastro has been a prolific artist since the age of three.

"I am frequently drawn to the same subject matter that intrigued me as a child, such as figurative scenes and busy cityscapes."
Ken has evolved into a well known and favorite Denver oil painter.

Valastro's work was chosen for the cover image of the 2011 Anniversary edition of The Strand magazine.
