Carol Jenkins

...with the gallery since 2009

Carol Jenkins enjoys "Painting just about anything - landscapes, interiors, buildings and figures, but my greatest love is plein air painting. The weather, the light, and the land all become part of me. Heading out into nature, looking around and being inspired by a beautiful composition and translating that to my canvas right then and there is always exciting to me."

Carol's work was featured in " Portfolio: Landscapes " in the February 2011 SouthWest Art Magazine; she was accepted into the 2012 Colorado Governor's Show, and exhibited in the prestigious "The Russell: The Sale to Benefit the C.M. Russell Museum" in March.

Carol was featured in the October 2013 Southwest Art magazine in an article "The Joy of Being" by Rosemary Carstens. She also won an Award of Excellence at the August 2011 Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters Show in Pagosa Springs. The Sangre de Cristo Museum in Pueblo accepted Carol Jenkins' work for their "Representing the West" Show. Jenkins also exhibited in the CM Russell Museum's "Masters in Miniature" in Great Falls, Montana. And in 2014: Award of Merit, Plein Air Artists Colorado, 18th Annual National Juried Show.

In August 2015 Carol received an Award of Excellence at the Oil Painters of America Western Regional Show in Steamboat Springs and exhibited in the Colorado Governor's Show in June.

Carol will be a featured artist in our September 2016 Show "On the Cusp"
