I approach a painting with a loose impressionistic style and progress gradually to more refined detail in the focal area. As I contemplate the process of the painting, I organize compositional elements to provide understandable perspective thereby developing a place for the viewer to ‘go’ in the painting. In other words, I am asking you to join me in the journey. I paint from and with a sense of peace, tranquillity and hope. I paint to give you pleasure.” |
