Mary Dunn

“When a particular scene speaks to me. I love to paint the immediacy of the experience. There is nothing more joyful than the feel of the paint and the brush on the canvas as the scene comes alive within me and I become a conduit for expressing it on the canvas, whether realistically or abstractly. ”

Mary has traveled the world observing the diversity of cities and villages, studying the world's outstanding art, as well as painting in Italy, France and Germany. She is equally at home painting in the middle of a busy market in Rome, alone in the Rocky Mountains or on the beaches of California. Mary has studied with Jordan Wolfson, Quang Ho, Kim English, Mark Daily, Jerry de la Cruz, Kim Mackey, David Barbero, and Patrick Hamilton of Florence, Italy. She has been showing in solo and group exhibitions since l993.
