Originally from Livingston, Montana and now settled in Northern Colorado, Valerie Amon is a serious painter. She works in oils in an impressionist style and sees almost everything as a potential subject: her dog running towards her with a ball in his mouth, a friend's younger sister idling an afternoon away, a fast moving Montana river. Since 2002, her work has appeared in prestigious shows including the Oil Painters of America Exhibits, Salon International and the American Impressionist Society Shows.
